Brigade Pizzeria Napolitaine has just added another awesome item to the Montreal food scene. And, all I have to say is: I'm so excited about it. There's no denying that Montreal is a city filled with locals who simply love to eat, which is why there are always new restaurant and dish ideas popping up all over the place.

Brigade Pizza, which can be found at 1428, rue Stanley in downtown Montreal, has decided to bring a slice of Detroit to our city.

The pizza spot let us know that this is the first time anyone in Quebec is bringing Detroit-style pizza to life and believe me when I say, it's totally worth checking out.

For those of you who don't know what Detroit-style pizza is, you're in for a real treat.

The thick and airy rectangular pieces are baked on a special  "blue pan," which leaves the pie with a crown of wicked caramelized cheese that's the main factor in what makes this pizza type so unique.

The key ingredient to getting this pizza to taste as it should is that special pan.

As it says on the restaurant's website, "the pans are a thick steel that is more similar to a cast-iron skillet than a cake pan."

Jean-Daniel Nadeau, CEO Brigade Pizza, said they simply "fell in love with the Detroit pizza style and knew we wanted to bring it to Brigade."

He went on to tell us that "it's everything we love about pizza, a long dough fermentation, an incredible mix of soft, chewy and crunchy textures."

The Brigade team researched and began developing the Detroit-style pizza over the course of a few months, and it's something they're incredibly passionate about.

And, the team is so excited to finally be able to share this delicious pizza with Montreal.

For anyone whose mouth is watering after hearing about this decadent pie, you can get your hands on one by dining in the restaurant or getting some take-out.

They're also available for delivery on Ubereats, SkipTheDishes, and Doordash!

If you're a pizza fanatic like myself, you're going to want to dive in and experience this phenomenal tasting piece of pizza, which would usually be found on the streets of Detroit and is now available in the 514.
