The post went on to say, "It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the death of a young skier, which occurred at the resort this afternoon."

According to Bromont, the skier fell to his death while at the mountain on December 30.

As it says on the mountain's Facebook post, "A fall was the cause of this accident which was fatal for a 14-year-old boy."

"Our very sincere thoughts go out to the family."

"Please join us in giving them a huge dose of love."

Bromont told MTL Blog, "According to the initial observations, the young man found himself in an underbrush after a loss of control and fell. However, it is not known if there was a collision with a tree or a rock."*

In a press release, Bromont wrote, "The Bromont Police Department is currently conducting an investigation in order to shed light on the situation surrounding the circumstances of this accident."*
