Beginning in the morning of April 21, the AstraZeneca vaccine will be available to anyone 45 and older in Quebec, Premier François Legault announced Tuesday.

Anyone who is in the age group and wants to get the AstraZeneca vaccine will need to register for an appointment via Clic Santé.

Legault reiterated that the AstraZeneca vaccine is "very safe" and "very effective."

Previously, the eligible age group was 55 and over.

Quebec is currently at steps eight and nine of its vaccine rollout plan, including people with chronic health problems and essential workers.
