Bars In Montreal Can Officially Stay Open Even Later

The government hopes this will avoid people gathering in private homes.

As our city officially moves into the yellow zone, we're seeing all kinds of changes. The newest one being that bars in Montreal can now stay open until 2 a.m.

Health Minister Dubé announced this news in a tweet on Monday night.

"After tonight, bars located in the [green] and [yellow] regions will be able to serve alcohol until midnight and close at 2:00 a.m. Restaurants will serve alcohol until midnight."

He added that "The main principle remains to avoid ending up inside private homes."

This also means Habs fans will be able to stay in bars until the very end of games!
