While wearing masks in enclosed public places has been mandatory since last year in Quebec, wearing a medical-grade mask has only been a suggestion for people that work in a public setting and not a hard rule. The CNESST has now changed that rule, however. As of Thursday, April 8, "the continuous wearing of medical masks indoors in workplaces" will be mandatory across the province. For those who work outdoors, the same measures apply if workers will be in situations where they are less than 2-metres apart. For those not working, wearing a non-medical mask is still allowed.
