This Viral Tweet About Quebec Is Really Hitting A Big Mood

The tweet posted on February 24 by user Rubarubaul calls attention to Quebecers' state of mind after months of dramatically changing public health rules.

Rubarubaul told MTL Blog that the tweet was inspired by her perception of the government's management of the pandemic.
"I think we are just not happy how the government was dealing with it which is why it resonated with many people," she said.
At the time of writing, the tweet had received over 2,300 likes and 430 shares.
Other data also suggests this perception is widespread.
In a recent nationwide survey by Narrative Research, for example, 33% of respondents said Quebec had done the worst job managing the pandemic.
Another study shows Quebecers' mental health has also taken a hit.
The Quebec Association of Proprietor Pharmacists (AQPP) has reported an increase in the use of antidepressants in the last year — data it says demonstrates the effect of the pandemic on the population.
The AQPP said pharmacists would "continue to monitor their patients for early warning symptoms related to mental health or anxiety" in the coming weeks.
