It's that time of year when it feels like summer was a million years ago and it's not coming back for ages. But we can't deny that Quebec is lovely any time of year, so at least there's that.

Because it's never too early to start thinking of summer, we're already daydreaming of all of the places we'll go once the weather gets nicer (and the lockdown's over, of course!).

We've said it before, and we'll say it again: We really do live in la belle province, and with so much to see and do, the possibilities for an incredible summer are endless.

So if you need something to daydream about right now, here are some spots that'll hopefully bring you a little bit of sunshine...

Rocher Percé

Distance From Montreal: 4 hours and 30 minutes

Why You Need To Go: This place totally rocks! It's naturally exquisite and totally worth the drive.

Lac Memphrémagog

Distance From Montreal: 1 hour and 20 minutes

Why You Need To Go: Nothing wraps up a beautiful summer's day quite like a gorgeous summer night.

Îles de la Madeleine

Distance From Montreal: 18 hours and 40 minutes

Why You Need To Go: Definitely the farthest spot on our list, but while we're daydreaming of faraway places, there's nowhere too far — especially with views like that.

Chelsea

Distance From Montreal: 2 hours and 30 minutes

Why You Need To Go: It may only be a few hours away, but Chelsea honestly feels like a whole other world... which we wouldn't mind right about now.

Grandes-Bergeronnes

Distance From Montreal: 6 hours

Why You Need To Go: Just imagine hitting the open road and winding up in a place like this.

Eastern Townships

Distance From Montreal: 1 hour and 40 minutes

Why You Need To Go: You've heard of seeing with "rose-coloured glasses." But what about lavender-coloured?

Vineyards

Distance From Montreal: Varies depending on location

Why You Need To Go: Cheers to living in a province with such beautiful vineyards that make such delicious wine.

Boucherville

Distance From Montreal: 25 minutes

Why You Need To Go: Less than a half-hour from Montreal is a city filled with gorgeous fields like this spectacular tulip wonderland that is totally daydream-able.

Quebec City

Distance From Montreal: 2 hours and 45 minutes

Why You Need To Go: There's something so dreamy about our province's capital come summer — no wonder it's been ranked Canada's top destination five years running.
