If you've ever found yourself yelling answers at your television when Family Feud Canada host Gerry Dee asks contestants a question, then now is your chance to play the game for real. And we mean…for real.
Family Feud Canada is currently casting families across the country for its sixth season and we've got you covered with all of the do's, don'ts, yes, and no's for applying.
With casting officially underway, Family Feud Canada is on the lookout for families in Montreal and Quebec who want to be on the show and play for a shot at up to a $30,000 prize.
So, how does it work? Well, to be eligible to apply you must be a family of five (who share a relation through lineage, marriage or law), who all reside permanently in Canada. Furthermore, you must be a Canadian citizen, or permanent resident or have permission from the federal government to work within Canada.

Eligible candidates must also be 18 years of age or older to apply. Those who have run or are running for political office or have been on more than two game shows in the last year will sadly have to sit this casting call out. Similarly, if you or anyone on your team has appeared on any version of Family Feud before, it must be 10 years since the prior appearance to be eligible to play again.
Lastly, you are not eligible to play if anyone on your team has connections with individuals employed by FremantleMedia, Zone 3, Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC), an affiliate broadcasting Family Feud Canada, Gerry Dee Productions, sponsors of Family Feud Canada, or their parent, subsidiary, affiliated companies, licensees, or partners.
Now, while there is no application deadline set in stone as of yet, casting producers recommend sending in your application ASAP — this way it can be viewed sooner rather than later.
Families will be required to fill out the Family Feud application and follow the steps indicated on the form. A video component is also required — this way casting producers can get a feel for your personality and family dynamic ahead of time.
Your video should showcase your family's uniqueness, hometown pride, and energy, introducing each member and highlighting any special traditions or quirks. Aim for three to five minutes in length.
Family Feud Canada producers are essentially looking for families with personality, enthusiasm, and a competitive spirit. You can all stand out by smiling, cheering, and possibly coordinating outfits or showcasing talents — in this case, sticking out is a good thing. If successful, producers will contact you for further preparation, with tapings anticipated to begin in Toronto in September.
And for families applying from Montreal or Quebec, you can include in your application that you were referred by "Casting Producer Kat," which will help flag your application by a producer specializing in the Quebec region.
