Today's a historic day for Chicken McNuggets lovers across Canada — especially those who like their food spicy. For the first time since classic nugs were added to the McDonald's menu in 1984, there's a new flavour option available: Spicy Chicken McNuggets.

Beginning on August 31, for a limited time, you'll be able to find Spicy Chicken McNuggets at McDonald's locations in Quebec.

"When our US counterparts launched Spicy McNuggets last September, there was huge buzz with Canadians asking when they would be launching in Canada," said Rebecca Smart, director of brand strategy at McDonald's Canada, in a statement.

The spicy nuggets are made with seasoned chicken breast and "breaded with a spicy habanero heat," according to the announcement.

You can also make the dish even hotter by pairing it with a limited-edition spicy buffalo dipping sauce.

Like regular nugs, the new ones are available in six, 10, and 20 pieces.

They are available in restaurants, at the drive-thru and by delivery.
