Earlier this week, McDonald's announced it would be introducing its first new Chicken McNuggets flavour in decades: Spicy Chicken McNuggets.

Naturally, the Twitterverse went nuts because everyone dreams of curling up with a big box of mcnugs — beloved by all — while getting a dose of hot hot heat to induce a good cry during these hard times.

There are no plans to launch Spicy Chicken McNuggets in Canada at this time.

Unfortunately for Canadians, despite mass excitement, it seems there's been some confusion over where the Spicy McNuggets will be available.

McDonald's confirmed that while it will be releasing the new flavour in the U.S. in September, "there are no plans to launch Spicy Chicken McNuggets in Canada at this time."

Montrealers will sadly have to drown our sorrows with something else — and, honestly, Burger King's looking pretty good right now.
