A Montreal Man Who Was In His 30s Fell And Drowned In The Lachine Canal Yesterday
On the afternoon of Sunday, September 6, a Montreal man fell into the Lachine Canal and drowned before he could get help.
Urgences-Santé Québec says that they cannot yet confirm what caused the man, who was approximately 36 years old, to fall into the water.

The man was washing his clothes before he fell into the Lachine Canal.

It was confirmed, though, that before falling, he was seen washing his clothes around the intersection of boulevard St-Joseph and rue St-Patrick.
Witnesses called 911 around 3 p.m. and the man was brought to the hospital and declared dead within the next two hours.
The SPVM confirmed with MTL Blog that there was no criminal activity involved during this incident.
