It's no secret that we live in an aesthetically pleasing city, so much so that there are tons of Montreal photographers out there capturing all of its beauty.

Well now, you could not only take an amazing shot but also possibly win a citywide contest.

The Centre des mémoires montréalaises, with Tourisme Montréal, Photo Service, Encadrex and the Conseil jeunesse de Montréal, is welcoming photographers of all levels to enter the 42nd year of the contest.

This year's theme is Montreal of my Heart. "Whether you actually live in the city or not, show us how Montreal is tattooed on your heart!" the MEM says.

Prizes include a $2,000 contract with Tourisme Montréal, a $1,000 gift certificate to Photo Service, a $500 voucher to Encadrex, and a special prize for participants aged 12 to 30: $250 gift certificates from both Signé Local and Coopérative les Librairies indépendantes du Québec, courtesy of Conseil jeunesse de Montréal.

And don't be surprised if you see the City and Tourisme Montréal use your photos, too, for hundreds of thousands to see your work (with credit, of course).

Each photographer can send a maximum of two photos and submission of the online form is required.

The contest is open until June 15, 2021.

Best of luck if you choose to participate!
