For years now, if anyone asked me where to go get some tasty chicken in Montreal, Romados would always be at the top of my list.

So, the news that this famous Portuguese spot on rue Rachel is closing its doors forever has been nothing less than upsetting — and I'm sure many other Montrealers are feeling the same.

The restaurant subtly announced its official closure in a Facebook comment on Friday, June 11. 

"Romados is permanently closed. It was our honour to serve you for over 2 decades. This decision was imposed upon the business and not by choice," Romados wrote.

You will be greatly missed, Romados.
