When Sépaq, Quebec's national park authority, announced a huge 50% off sale on annual passes in May, people got understandably excited about the sale... perhaps a little too excited.

The sale launched today, June 1, at 9:00 a.m., and as of 10:18 a.m., almost 100,000 people are in the virtual line-up to score passes, which offer "unlimited access" to the park system.

Sépaq indicates that the wait is more than an hour long.

In 2020, the same thing happened.

Only 140,000 discounted cards were made available. If you're one of the lucky few who get one, enjoy your camping summer.
