About an hour and 45 minutes from Montreal, you can jump into the base of a waterfall and swim in the middle of a forest.

The Centre de plein air de l'UQAM, on the banks of the Archambault River, is located in the municipality of Lac-Supérieur in the Laurentians and its trails take you right to the base of Archambault Waterfall.

Don't forget your bathing suit!

For $7 per car, you can spend the day walking around the waterfall, hiking — the park has a network of 25 kilometres of trails for various levels — and eating at the picnic area.

The site is open to the public every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. But be careful when swimming, as it is an unsupervised area.
