Montreal's annual ranking of best employers for 2024 is out, identifying companies that lead the pack when it comes to office perks and commitment to employee well-being and career growth. The winners span tech giants and financial institutions along with public sector entities and educational institutions that are helping workers find a balance between their professional and personal lives.

The award is part of the larger Canada's Top 100 Employers project and focuses on firms in the Greater Montreal area that are ahead of the curve in offering substantial benefits, from health and family support to skill development opportunities. That means job seekers can expect more than a paycheck — they can anticipate a culture that values their growth and happiness.

Companies are judged across eight criteria: workplace; work atmosphere and social; health, financial, and family coverage; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

Winners this year have made efforts to improve their employees' lives beyond work — many facilitating remote work, supporting travel, and organizing social events. "[They] rank ahead of many employers across Canada in terms of the baseline benefits and programs that they offer," said Kristina Leung, managing editor of Canada's Top 100 Employers, in a statement.

Here are some of Montreal's top employers and who they're currently looking to hire:
