Shay Mitchell Took To Instagram To Share Her Love Of Quebec Poutine

Her Quebec followers are ecstatic.

Canadian actress and Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell has been back home for a few weeks and seems to be enjoying her stay in Vancouver with her family. Initially quarantined at her parents' home, the new mom can now enjoy the typical local delights, including some poutine. The celebrity gave a shout out to the Québécois dish.

Like any good Canadian returning from a trip, Shay Mitchell couldn't resist a greasy plate of fries and gravy as soon as she had the chance.

The actress even took the opportunity to introduce the dish to her 28.3 million subscribers on Instagram.

"Poutine // Québécois dish of french fries topped with cheese curds and gravy," she wrote to the delight of her Canadian followers, many of whom took to the comments to share their pride.

Quebecers, in particular, turned out in droves to celebrate the post and their unofficial national meal.

Top comments include the undeniable claim that "Montreal is the best place for it" and the very relatable exclamation that it's "sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo gooooooooodddd."

Even local influencers Marina Bastarache and Cath Bastien commented on the post.

"I eat poutine every week and it's the key to my soul," wrote Bastien.

A few commenters are recalling Harry Styles' own well-documented love for the Canadian dish.

This is not the first time that Shay Mitchell has demonstrated her love of Canadian specialties.

Ketchup and all dressed chips, Smarties, Timbits, Canada Dry ginger ale, and Maynards are among her favourites.

She has even admitted to bringing suitcases full of Canadian snacks when she goes back to Los Angeles.

We hope to see her in Montreal one day to try one of our many famous poutine joints.
