Mr. Worldwide isn't so international after cancelling his Montreal show during Grand Prix weekend.

Pitbull was set to headline the Podium Concerts as part of the Grand Prix festivities at Parc Jean-Drapeau and only moments before Mr. 305 was expected on stage, did a message pop up announcing that the show would not be moving forward.

"Due to a mechanical problem with the plane, Pitbull regrets having to cancel his performance scheduled for tonight at Parc Jean-Drapeau," the message displayed on the big sceen said.

Montrealers and Grand Prix attendees had already begun congregating at Parc Jean-Drapeau, in the pouring rain no less — so it's no surprise that folks were upset.

The message also indicated that ticketholders will be "reimbursed automatically." However, that, unfortunately, does not cover the cost of travel and accommodation many paid for to see Pitbull.

Attendees were asked to "leave the site quietly toward Jean-Drapeau metro station and follow the staff's directions." While Pitbull fans did leave, they didn't do so without letting us know how they really felt.

Many guests took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on the last-minute cancellation and these are some of our favourites:

One person even went as far as claiming they spotted Pitbull backstage, with a blurred pic attached, which lowkey resembles the artist. However, it's yet to be confirmed to be the Mr. Worldwide.
