With tonight's U.S. election being the thing on everyone's mind right now, it was only natural that Premier François Legault was questioned about the subject during today's press conference.

A journalist asked the premier point-blank: "Trump or Biden?"

But Legault did not provide a response, implying that he'd rather keep himself out of American politics.

I don't intend to get involved in this.

The journalist let him know that whatever his response would be, it wouldn't have much of an effect on the results of the election.

Mr. Legault laughed and agreed to this statement.

He said he won't comment on elections in the United States nor "any in the rest of Canada."

The premier was later asked if he felt any concerns towards "votes get[ting] contested or one of the candidates contest[ing] the results," to which he replied, "Of course, for the economy, we never like to see some uncertainty."

According to data from Leger, Quebec is the most concerned region in Canada regarding the outcome of the U.S. election this evening.
