Weekends are for brunch, but what if the meal came with a trip through scenic Quebec countryside, complete with a gondola ride to a mountain summit? This summer, a unique package combines good eats with panoramic views to transform your typical brunch into an immersive travel experience.

On Saturdays and Sundays from June 15 to October 13, passengers can take a train ride through breathtaking landscape culminating in a luxurious brunch at the peak of Canada's largest mountain east of the Rockies.

The experience begins in Quebec, where passengers board a 9 a.m. train at Montmorency Falls station bound for Petite-Rivière-Saint-François. As the train snakes through diverse terrains, you'll get views of the Saint-Lawrence River, marshland, rolling hills filled with wildflowers, and nearby mountains.

Upon arrival at the Gare du Massif, guests transition from rail to air with a gondola ride to the summit of Le Massif de Charlevoix. The ascent gives an unparalleled view of the surrounding area.

At the top, a short trip takes guests to the Camp Boule restaurant. That's where you're treated to a brunch featuring local specialties and seasonal ingredients. You can order everything from verrine to mignardise with the sparkling touch of an obligatory weekend mimosa.

The return journey leaves Gare du Massif at 3:30 p.m., bringing guests back to the Chute-Montmorency station by 5 p.m., marking the end of a memorable day filled with scenic views, fresh mountain air, and exquisite cuisine.

The package, priced at $369 per person (taxes included), lets you treat yourself to the taste and visual splendor unique to a picturesque part of Quebec. For those interested in experiencing the region's scenic beauty without a meal, the Train de Charlevoix also offers a travel-only option starting at $99.

This summer, if you're searching for an unconventional meal, look no further than a train ride and mountaintop away. You'll get a plate of gourmet fare before you and a stunning view that stretches to the horizon. Now that's what you call peak dining.
