Quebec’s “Heart Shaped Lake” You Must Road Trip To At Least Once In Your Life

You'll just love it there.
Distribution Manager

The internet has always had a love affair with heart shaped lakes and it's easy to see why.

They often look too good be true, so we just assume they are Photoshopped. But heart shaped lakes are very real and they just have a way of causing cuteness overloads in our brains whenever we see them.

In Quebec, we are particularly blessed in this department.

Here's why:

First of all, we just happen to have our very own heart shaped lake.

It's called l'Etang Baker, it's located near Mont-Gauvin and close to Lac-Brome in Quebec.

Unlike many "heart shaped lakes" who only look like heart from certain angles, this one actually looks like a heart from above and it's 100% natural.

As if that wasn't cute enough, there's even a tiny log cabin nestled at the center of the tip.

I don't know about you, but I am now officially jealous of whoever lives there.

But like I said earlier, we are blessed in Quebec because that's not the only natural heart shape we have in the province.

As fate would have it, we also have a heart shaped island!

Une île en forme de cœur vient d'être mise en vente pour 1 millions d'euros. Sans doute le cadeaux de Noël le plus romantique que l'on puisse offrir ! #BlueberryIsland #Heartshapedisland

It's called Blueberry Island and it looks as if it was plucked out of the lake and dropped in the middle of the water.

Plus, this island is actually for sale!

So if you were ever looking for a cute romantic destination to spend the day or maybe even to propose, you just have to decided whether you prefer the lake of the island.
