The Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) is now selling a cannabis-infused poutine sauce and things could not get more Quebecois.

While the SQDC has expanded its reach with cannabis-infused products including drinks, edibles and extracts, the cannabis retailer is now upping the ante with a new product inspired after a classic Quebec dish…poutine.

The SQDC titled the poutine product Mélange à Sauce Poutine Infusé, which contains 5 mg THC and traces of CBD per unit, per the official SQDC website.

According to the product description, the cannabinoids found within the packet are distributed in the powder containing the flavours.

You would prepare and cook the cannabis-infused poutine sauce the same way you would any packet of gravy you'd find at a grocery store.

"To consume the product, in a saucepan, combine ¾ cup water and the sauce mix pouch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce reaches boiling point," the SQDC said.

To get the full THC dose from the packet, the SQDC recommends consuming all of the sauce. As for the effects, the SQDC says that the poutine sauce product will create "increased appetite," and can even produce "relaxing sensations."

Ingredients in the poutine sauce outside of the THC and CBD contents include corn starch, wheat flour, sugars, modified corn starch, salt, vegetable oil, spices, and a handful of other additives.

While you might be tempted to down both units of the poutine sauce, the SQDC warns that effects may take up to "60 minutes to appear and may last up to eight hours or occasionally longer."

Per the SQDC website, the product is currently available for purchase online only and costs $7.90 for two units.
