The Montreal SPCA is currently offering free and reduced adoption fees for various animals at its facilities on rue Jean-Talon O.
For those who have been looking to expand their family with a furry friend, you can opt to adopt from the Montreal SPCA from June 5 to 9 to help the animal welfare organization clear up space before moving season.
Starting Wednesday, Montrealers will be able to adopt rabbits, exotic animals and small animals (including guinea pigs and mice) at no cost. The Montreal SPCA is completely waiving any and all adoption fees for these animals.
If you're hoping to adopt a cat or dog, you can still do so for a reduced fee. Any and all adult dogs (8 months or older) and cats (5 months or older) can be adopted for only $50. Note that regular fees still apply to all puppies and kittens.
"It’s the perfect opportunity to add a cuddly, affectionate member to your family and provide a loving home to an animal who needs a second chance," the Montreal SPCA wrote on its Instagram page.
There are currently over 100 cats and 17 dogs up for adoption, all of whom are looking for their forever families. So, if you've got the space, both in your heart and home, to adopt a furry pal, then this week is the ideal opportunity to adopt.
