Starbucks is gearing up for a holiday surprise that could make your next coffee run a little more budget-friendly. With the holiday menu set to launch on November 7, Starbucks Canada is also rolling out a change that comes as a nice little early holiday gift for plant-based customers.

Starting next Thursday, Canadians will no longer have to pay extra for non-dairy milk options like soy, oat, almond and coconut at the nationwide coffee chain. According to Starbucks, this move aligns with the holiday menu debut, meaning you can enjoy your seasonal favourites with non-dairy upgrades at no additional charge.

It's officially time to step into fall mode, and Starbucks is keeping the cozy vibes coming with the second release of its seasonal fall drinks.

After rolling out the initial fall menu last month, featuring the return of iconic fall favourites like the full pumpkin spice lineup and the Apple Crisp Oat Macchiato, Starbucks Canada has just added two pecan-flavoured delights to the mix, and they're already available in cafes across the country.

So long, sweet summer. The unofficial start to fall is upon us.

No, we don't mean colourful leaves or migrating birds, we're talking about the Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL), which is about to make its seasonal return to Starbucks locations across Quebec, along with the rest of Canada.

As of March 2024, tens of Montreal restaurants, cafés and bars have been hit with infractions from the MAPAQ (Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation Quebec), for reasons including sanitation issues, staff hygiene, food quality as well as preparation and processing standards.

After inspecting a popular Starbucks in Montreal, the MAPAQ fined the café $2,500 after failing to meet the MAPAQ's inspection team's quality control.

There's nothing quite like sinking your teeth into a hearty breakfast sandwich – a sausage patty, fried egg, and a nice layer of cheese, all comfortably sandwiched between a perfectly toasted English muffin. C'mon…what more can you ask for? Add in a refreshing iced coffee (my personal go-to) and a pair of crispy hash browns and you've got yourself the perfect on-the-go morning grub. Well, at least in my book.

Now, thanks to the breakfast revolution, most fast-food joints offer all-day breakfast, making it easier than ever to satisfy those breakfast sandwich cravings anytime you please. While McDonald's may have made the sausage, egg, and cheese classic famous, the fast food joint has got some stiff competition these days. Other fast-food favourites like Starbucks, Wendy's, and Tim Hortons have joined the breakfast party and are serving up their own renditions of this beloved breakfast staple.

The season to be jolly is almost upon us, and while chestnuts roasting on an open fire might be a few weeks away, the Chestnut Praline Latté is back in town.

Starting November 2, Starbucks Canada is unwrapping its holiday drinks, and among the crowd favourites is a brand-new cookie-based beverage.

As the leaves start to change, so do the menus at many of our favourite coffee chains. While Starbucks garnered attention with the early release of its iconic Pumpkin Spice Latté, Second Cup has now entered the fray with its own arsenal of fall-flavoured drinks aimed at capturing the heart of autumn lovers.

Leading Second Cup's lineup is the Pumpkin Spice Latté, described as "sipping pure coziness from a cup." But where things get really interesting is in their effort to innovate.

Starbucks has once again pushed up the arrival of its cult classic, the Pumpkin Spice Latte. As if 2023 wasn't chaotic enough, we now have to endure PSL mania a smidge earlier this year. As of August 24, prepare to get your fall on while it's still objectively summer outside.

Now, don’t get me wrong. The Pumpkin Spice Latte has its merits. The hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove makes for a pleasant sipper. And it’s basically become the unofficial mascot of “I can’t even” culture. But Starbucks, do we really need to rush the season? Some of us are still trying to enjoy our last gasps of summer, without being reminded that winter is looming.

The hallowed green halls of Starbucks are welcoming four new items to the permanent menu: three new frozen drinks and a quiche-esque breakfast bite featuring potatoes, eggs and chives.

The new beverages follow in the footsteps of Starbucks' popular Refreshers line, with a frozen twist and a swirl of strawberry coulis. Each icy drink is made with the same lemonade base, but they manage to remain distinctive, appealing to different tastes without losing the branded homogeneity that has made Starbucks an international icon of drink-making.

Starbucks Canada has released its summer drink menu. There are two newcomers this year, including one that's reminiscent of a blended Subway cookie: the White Chocolate Macadamia Cream Cold Brew.

In a press release, Starbucks describes the beverage as the "perfect pairing of smooth Starbucks cold brew, creamy white chocolate, and macadamia flavours to sip and savour that carefree, fun summertime feeling."
