Certain Quebec Liberal MPs Are Confessing Trips They Took In 2020 On Twitter
During the past day, various MPs from the Quebec Liberal Party have taken to social media to confess trips that they have taken in the midst of the pandemic.
As the COVID-19 cases in Quebec continue to rise, Public Health advises that everyone in the province to avoid non-essential travel, which has been a recommendation for many months now.

On Sunday, January 3, at least three of the Liberal Party's MPs took to Twitter to make statements about their travelling abroad during the past year.
Sameer Zuberi, the MP for Pierrefonds-Dollard, admitted to having gone to visit a sick family member in Delaware in December.
"I recognize that travel during this period […] was an error in judgment. I apologize to my constituents for the disappointment I may have caused. As a result, I will be stepping down from my committee roles."
St-Léonard-St-Michel MP Patricia Lattanzio made a similar confession when she announced on Twitter that she had travelled to Ireland back in September to help her daughter move there for school.
Alexandra Mendes, MP of Brossard-St-Lambert, released a statement about her trip to Portugal in July 2020 to deal "with legal elements" of her recently deceased mother's estate.
"In July, as lockdown measures began to be lifted in Quebec, Canada and Europe, and with some airlines re-establishing flights, my husband and I decided to go to Portugal."
All three MPs say they did a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon their arrival back in Quebec.
In an interview with CTV News, Quebec MNA Pierre Arcand admitted to having gone to Barbados with his wife recently but has not posted anything about the matter on social media as of yet.
