Quebec Isn't Ruling Out Extending The Lockdown Post-January 11
Health Minister Christian Dubé and Quebec's Public Health Director Horacio Arruda answered questions from journalists on December 29 during a press scrum.
The two Quebec government officials provided some insight into whether a possible extension of the measures currently imposed could occur beyond January 11.

Quebec was put on a "holiday pause" between December 25 and January 10, inclusively.
Several measures, including the closure of non-essential businesses and mandatory work-from-home, were put in place.
Faced with increasing daily cases throughout the province, Dubé was cautious when asked if these measures could continue.
"We're not there yet. [...] Some of these measures are fairly recent," said the minister, referring to the closure of some businesses.
"It's too early to see if there are other measures. Let's keep following the sanitary measures, and we'll do as we do every day, we'll inform you."
Dubé also mentioned the "very large part" of the population that follows the measures, seeming satisfied on this side.
On December 31, Quebec set a new record for single-day count of new COVID-19 cases, at 2,819 new cases.
