Although Quebec's harsh winter is about to lead us all into peak SAD season, this weekend's 30-centimetre snowfall in the province turned Montreal into a beautiful winter wonderland

Montrealers from all over the city shared social media photos of fresh powder, crystalline flakes, and scenic backdrops.

The weather didn't stop Montrealers from living their best lives outdoors this weekend.

For some, this meant hitting up a local park with a sled or building snowmen. For others, it meant a dip in an outdoor hot tub.

With somewhere to go, everyone finally had the chance to show off their favourite fashion looks. Nevermind the cold.

Some Montrealers decided to cross-country ski on the city's freshly coated streets.

Some opted to walk, or simply snap joyous photos in the snow.

A little-known townhouse in Outremont, wreathed in snow, makes for a scene straight out of your favourite childhood fairytale.

And a snow-covered depanneur in the city's Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough screams winters in Montreal.

Maybe we're all just going stir-crazy in lockdown. But this weekend's snowfall seems to have done us all some good — just the mood booster we needed.

If you were stuck inside today, perhaps due to work, there's no need to worry. There will be plenty more where that came from.

Happy Saturday, Montreal!
