It seems Montrealers are truly getting in the holiday spirit early this year, and the line for the Atwater Market Christmas Village on Sunday, November 29 proves it.

The Village de Noël de Montréal first opened to visitors this past Thursday and it looks like people are excited about having a new COVID-19 friendly activity to do in the city.

At around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, MTL Blog was told the line stretched from the entrance all the way into the Atwater Market parking lot, which means there are lots of people waiting to get in.

Organizers were saying that the wait was approximately 30 minutes long at that time, but a source told MTL Blog it's only getting longer.

The line length was very similar on Saturday evening around 6 p.m. — just an hour before it was closing.

So, if you're planning on heading out there today or in the near future, make sure to remind yourself of the saying, "patience is a virtue."

The Christmas village is open on Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
