Despite the current gloom of restrictions and early nightfall, Montrealers will still be able to discover some holiday cheer throughout the city this year. Montreal's Atwater Christmas Village, a holiday favourite, is just one of the places to find it.

The village is back for its fifth edition in the Sud-Ouest, featuring a variety of local artisans and treats.

It opened its gates for the first time on November 26 and will welcome Montrealers every weekend until December 20.

This year, it's more magical than ever.

There are also some takeout food stands (including a cabane à sucre!) where shoppers can indulge in burgers, hot dogs, poutine, raclette, mulled wine, hot chocolate, and maple products.

Last year, the village welcomed a whopping 106,000 visitors over 12 days of operation.

This year, however, there will be no packed crowds.
