Residents of a 90-unit Plateau apartment building received notices stating they must move out for at least seven months due to major repairs and renovations, sounding 'renoviction' alarm bells among tenants and tenants' rights groups.

Chloé Pronovost-Morgan, a medical student at Montreal's McGill University, thinks the government should do more to tackle period poverty in Canada — so, for now, she's doing it herself by giving free period products to those in need.
