The Old Port Of Montreal Will Shut Down Between Midnight & 6 AM 'Until Further Notice'

Over the weekend, after curfew was lifted in Montreal, large groups flocked to the Old Port resulting in crowd surfing and even injuries

Beginning on Thursday, this sort of thing will not be possible past midnight.

The Old Port of Montreal announced that starting on June 3, the site will be shut from midnight until 6 a.m.

"All activities, boutiques and terraces will close up for the night at 11pm," reads a Facebook post. 

A pop-up on the Old Port of Montreal website tells visitors that "The site is open every day from 6 A.M. to midnight. We remind you to respect all sanitary measures while visiting."
