Have you ever wanted to be a politician in Montreal, running for mayor or city councillor on a platform of dreams and sweeping changes? An upcoming webinar series hosted by the Quebec government's Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MAMH) will show you how. 

Three virtual information sessions on April 6, 15, and 29 will aim to "inform people and encourage them to take part in municipal democratic life by presenting their candidacy for a position of councillor or mayor in the next municipal elections which will take place this fall."

As part of the "Je me présente!" campaign, the webinar series hopes to inspire people and increase the number of candidates in the upcoming municipal election in Montreal this year. 

Several workshops that are "specifically aimed at women and young people" are set up to "increase the representativeness of these groups within municipal councils."

The municipal election in Montreal will happen on November 7, 2021.
