5 Spots In Montreal To Bring Your Friend With All The Nut Allergies

Because no one wants to worry about an allergic reaction while eating...
Contributing Writer

Serious food allergies, like nuts and peanuts, are no joke. And luckily for anyone with allergies in the city, there are multiple nut-free spots in Montreal — or at least spots that make specific dishes nut-free.

Thankfully, over the last several years, more and more people have become increasingly aware and accommodating when it comes to specific dietary needs.

While there is still a long way to go in terms of research and treatments, for now, here are some spots for someone to fill their tummies with something yummy without being filled with anxiety of some type of reaction.

A true win-win situation.

Tiradito

Address: 1076, rue de Bleury, Montreal, QC

Why You Need To Go: This place is not only unbelievably delicious and innovative, but it's also completely nut- and peanut-free.

Chifa

Address: 1080, rue de Bleury, Montreal, QC

Why You Need To Go: Part of the Tiradito team, Chifa is another incredible Peruvian spot with an almost entirely nut-free menu (except for a salad, which are usually made on its own side of the kitchen).

Le Petit Lapin

Address: 1051, ave. Bernard, Outremont, QC

Why You Need To Go: This is one of the most popular allergy-free bakeries and cafes (for all of the major allergens) in Montreal for being oh so tasty and oh so gorgeous.

Baked2Go

Address: 679, ave. Lépine, Dorval, QC

Why You Need To Go: Baked2Go makes some of the most delicious gluten-free bites around, but did you know that it is also peanut-, tree nut- and sesame-free as well?

The Keg

Address: See website for multiple locations

Why You Need To Go: So this chain may not be allergy-free exactly, but the allergy program at one of Canada's favourite restaurants really goes above and beyond to make all diners feel safe when it comes to their dietary needs.
