You Can Get Free Pizza From Bàcaro Next Week To Celebrate Montreal Italian Week

Only at one of the pizzeria's locations though.

Everybody loves a good F-word. My two personal favourites are "free" and "food," and I like them even more when they're paired up together. And luckily for all of us, that's exactly what we can get. To celebrate Montreal Italian Week, Bàcaro Pizzeria is giving away free margherita and pepperoni pizza to celebrate its Italian roots at its St-Léonard location on August 15 and 16.

Between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. both days, guests can enjoy one free piece per person, available for dine-in or take-out.

The dining room is open and there's also outdoor seating, which is honestly too charming for words.

Chef Angelo Mercuri told MTL Blog with excitement, "Bàcaro St-Léonard is an important one as it’s within the 'Italian region' of Montreal, the perfect setting to celebrate Italian week and our roots!"

"We wanted to treat our community to free pizzas during Italian Week and provide a small escape as we aren’t travelling overseas this year and the last 5 months have been hard on a lot of us," the chef continued.

"Our team will be welcoming the community with open arms. The restaurant is a family run business with amazing values and we simply wanted to invite our community to enjoy an Italian staple on us!"

Bàcaro is known in Montreal for Italian-style cooking, inspired by local eateries in Venice.

Other than the Margherita and pepperoni, there are other delicious pizzas on the menu, like the polpetta, zaza and primavera.

There are also salads, pastas and other entreés — with gluten-free options available, too.

The team uses fresh ingredients, like 00 flour for the crust and organic tomato sauce.

And when it comes to wine, they all come from... you guessed, it, Italy!

To end it all off, try it off with a Nutella dessert. It's basically Italy's greatest export, after pizza and Andrea Bocelli, of course.

Buona settimana italiana a tutti. Happy Italian Week, everyone.
