'Dragons’ Den' Is Looking For Contestants & Montrealers Can Apply

If you have a business idea you’d like to flog and have ever fancied making an appearance on TV, now is your chance as Dragons' Den is looking for contestants — and you can apply now.

The long-running CBC reality show, entering its 16th season, gives cash-strapped entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their ideas to six high-profile businesspeople, or "dragons."

We can’t wait to see the incredible innovation and great ideas our Canadian entrepreneurs have to present!

Pitch them successfully and they’ll give you the financing and know-how to take your venture to new heights.

Pitch them unsuccessfully and they’ll give you nothing and will probably make fun of you like they did to the guy who pitched a snowball fight in a box (I thought it was a cool idea).

The admissions process has been impacted by COVID-19.

"With everyone’s health in mind, we are replacing our in-person auditions with scheduled virtual auditions through video calls or phone calls," states the show’s website.

The show offers a number of tips on how to make your audition stand out.

They include summing up your business idea in a way that’s easy to understand, highlighting why your idea deserves financing and turning up the charm to make casting directors remember you (it is a television show after all).

Applications are open on the CBC website. Virtual auditions run until the end of March.
