Halloween Is Not Going To Be Cancelled In Quebec This Year

October is fast approaching and many are wondering what will happen to Halloween 2020 in Quebec while the COVID-19 pandemic is still raging.

Officials have been weighing the options. Last week, National Public Health Director Dr. Horacio Arruda suggested that the holiday could even be cancelled — or at least "very different."

Well, now, Quebecers will be able to rejoice, as the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) has confirmed to Narcity Québec that Halloween is still on.

We would like to reassure young and old: Halloween will take place this year.

"Like so many other things, the holiday will need to be adjusted to the reality of the pandemic, so Halloween may be a little different this year," said Lacasse

Arruda and his team are currently assessing the situation. Recommendations will be announced shortly.
