You'll Be Able To Rent Cheap Boats At A New Park Project In Lachine This Summer
A new shoreline park project is being developed in Montreal's Lachine borough. Once it's ready, Montrealers will be able to rent non-motorized boats, eat delicious local food, and even watch concerts.
The City of Montreal joined forces with Aire Commune and the Festival de Musique Émergente to deliver a unique experience never before seen in Lachine.

"Over the next 5 years, some $25 million will be invested in the Lachine waterfront park for the benefit of the people of Montreal and their quality of life. In addition to adding green space, it will provide exceptional access to water," explained Robert Beaudry, the city councillor responsible for management and planning of real estate, housing, large parks.
According to the developers, there will be five distinct activity sites at the park "in synergy with the characteristics of this unique place in Montreal, offering places of relaxation, socialization, gastronomic discovery as well as the rental of boats."
The new park project will be open from June 10 to September 26, 2021.
