The City of Montreal, in partnership with the Réseau Habitation Femmes and Old Brewery Mission, is establishing two new social housing projects of 50 units that will "meet the needs of vulnerable" men and women who are unhoused or at risk of losing their homes.

City councillor for property management, planning, and housing Robert Beaudry told MTL Blog that "the project will be delivered by the end of the year."

The Réseau Habitation Femmes project will be located in the Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension borough and will offer 26 housing units for low-income single women and mothers who are at risk of becoming unhoused.

The Old Brewery Mission project will offer 24 housing units and a community support centre for unhoused individuals in the Plateau-Mont-Royal.

"We will continue to work hard to ensure that all Montrealers have access to affordable, decent and safe housing," said Beaudry.
