A new exhibit at Quebec City's Museum of Civilization, in partnership with Netflix, is immersing visitors in the world of special-effects filmmaking. It gives Quebecers a behind-the-scenes look at making the movies we know and love.

The "Special Effects!" exhibit is divided according to "the major stages in the creation of a film or television production: the office, the set and the studio," each with several interactive features.

In the first section, "the office," visitors discover the pre-production phase of filmmaking and see original sketches used to plan special effects like those from The Fly starring Jeff Goldblum.

The second section, "the set," is the "heart of the exhibition," allowing visitors to feel like they're on a movie set while experimenting with green screens, motion capture technology and more.
