Registration For Quebec's Vaccine Lotto Isn't Working & People Aren't Impressed

Rough times for fully vaxxed people hoping to win $1 million...

In the next few days, you could become rich if you're vaccinated thanks to the Vaccine Lotto organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Services in partnership with Loto-Québec.

Registration was supposed to open on July 25, but the website allowing you to participate doesn't seem to work — at least it didn't at the time of writing this article — and it's safe to say it caught people on Twitter's attention.

"Hello, we are currently in the process of improving the quality of our services: the system is undergoing maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience caused, we invite you to reconnect later," the website's home page reads.

While registration for the Vaccine Lotto was scheduled to begin at 8 a.m., the site was already undergoing maintenance shortly before 9 a.m. on the morning of the opening. Some people still seem to have managed to register.

On July 16, Quebec announced it would be creating a lottery for partially and fully-vaccinated Quebecers, giving them the chance to win major cash prizes totalling $2 million.
