This New Year's celebrations may look a little different, but don't worry — the Samuel de Champlain Bridge will, too.

One of Montreal's notable bridges will be joining other landmarks around the world in celebrations with special lighting for the start of 2021.

The bridge will be lit blue and golden white starting at sunset tonight and will glisten until sunrise.

But the festivities don't end on New Year's Day... we all know this New Year's deserves more than a day's celebration. 

You can continue to see the lights, whether in person or at home, from sunset on Saturday to 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Samuel de Champlain Bridge has been lighting up in rainbow colours since March in solidarity with the people of Montreal and to spread the message "Ça va bien aller," or "Everything will be OK."

Other famous landmarks that have or will join in celebrations are the Sydney Opera House and Toronto's CN Tower.
