Using information from Retraite Québec, Narcity Québec has compiled lists of the province's top baby names in the last three decades.

It can seem odd that the names of older generations were once the "in" names of the time, but who knows — maybe that's what our grandkids will say about our names one day...

Back in the '90s, the top names for girls in Quebec were Catherine, Jessica and Audrey, and the top names for boys were Alexandre, Maxime and Samuel.

Fast forward to the '00s and the top names for girls in Quebec were Sarah, Gabrielle and Lea, and the top names for boys were William, Samuel and Gabriel.

As for what names the '10s brought us, the top names for girls in Quebec were Emma, Lea and Olivia, and the top names for boys were William, Thomas and Samuel.
