The reopening of Montreal bars may have come with a long list of regulations to follow in order to reduce the possibility of COVID-19 transmission in establishments, but unfortunately, this has not fully stopped such from happening.

La Voûte, a well-known Old Montreal club, informed its clients on this Friday that "a customer who attended La Voûte Saturday July 4th has tested positive for Covid-19."

The club goes on to explain that the individual started experiencing novel coronavirus symptoms the day after being at the establishment, and was declared positive for having the virus on July 8.

As a response, La Voûte is asking "staff as well as all the customers present during this evening to kindly go to a clinic and get tested for Covid-19 as soon as possible." And, the owners "strongly suggest you quarantine until your results are obtained."

A similar situation happened at Mile Public House in Brossard, where multiple clients had tested positive for COVID-19 after attending the bar.
