It's officially spring in Quebec and that means it's time to switch out those winter tires, be perplexed by your weather app and not know how to dress because it's too cold in the morning and too warm in the afternoon. Talk about springtime struggles in la belle province, right?

Benjamin Loiselle, a content creator who goes by Le2watt on TikTok, created a hilarious video about how spring really feels in Quebec and it's so accurate that it hurts.

Getting tired of winter clothes, snow and freezing temperatures? You'll be happy to know that MétéoMédia's Quebec weather forecast for spring was updated on Saturday. Not only does this mean mild weather is likely just around the corner, but it also means it should stick around for the long haul sooner than expected.

MétéoMédia had originally predicted a cool Quebec spring in 2022 due to an atmospheric current that would bring "Arctic air descents" into the province. However, the weather agency says the Alaskan ridge has "receded," bringing the cold further west. As a result, it says the jet stream can allow more mild air to move up from the south into Quebec.

The good news is that it seems an incoming low-pressure system is still too far out for meteorologists to definitively say whether the city will be snowy or just rainy.

We've been misled again by the province's capricious period of seasonal change. While a few fleeting moments of sunshine and positive temperatures might have led Quebecers to believe the worst of winter was gone for good, the Quebec weather forecast has different plans.

Environment Canada has issued warnings and special weather statements ahead of what will hopefully (🤞) be the last snowstorm of the season on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13.

February's weather was... extra. We had snow. We had freezing rain. We had regular rain. Heck, we even had fog — remember that? Luckily, the month ahead is looking to be way more basic. Here's what to expect from Montreal weather in March.

On average, the Island of Montreal and the surrounding areas saw 55 centimetres of snow come down this month, according to Environment Canada meteorologist André Cantin. We had 49 millimetres of rain, which was a lot — the average for February is only 20.9 millimetres. Despite some truly frigid days, the average temperature for the month was -7.5 C, which is actually above the typical average of -7.7 C.

The majority of Quebecers are likely very anxious to see the end of winter, and really, who could blame us?

But in hopes of looking towards brighter, sunnier days, The Farmer's Almanac let us know what to expect for the Quebec weather forecast this spring season. Here's a look at what every month of spring 2022 is predicted to be like in the southern part of La Belle Province.
