Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB)'s Task Force on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion issued over 100 recommendations in the final report, which was created after two students at John Rennie High School were seen wearing blackface and using racist language last year.

The Quebec Superior Court has ruled that the religious symbols ban under Bill 21 won't apply to English schools in Quebec, according to multiple reports. This means that teachers in English schools who wish to wear religious symbols won't be required to remove them.

The English Montreal School Board (EMSB) shared the news on Tuesday, saying it's "elated with the Quebec Superior Court’s decision to strike down key provisions of Bill 21."

We could see a third wave of COVID-19 in Montreal, said Public Health Director Dr. Mylène Drouin at a press conference on March 3. She cited the emergence of the B.1.1.7 variant, which was identified in the U.K.

Minister of Higher Education Danielle McCann announced on February 4 that post-secondary schools in Quebec red zones can gradually reopen for in-person classes starting on February 8.

A press release from the minister's office says that university, college and CEGEP students will be able to benefit from group sessions and teaching activities "in the presence of others" several times a month, or "ideally" once per week.
