The best cities in the world to travel to in 2024 were ranked and only one Canadian city managed to make the cut.

CNN dropped its list of 24 must-see global destinations this year and while the ranking included remarkable spots such as South Korea, Morocco, Turkey and Greenland, it appears as if Canada is also proving itself to be a hotspot in 2024.

"It’s time to head to places that are making it easier for tourists to visit and those that pay close attention to encouraging sustainable tourism," CNN said.

So, which Canadian city is among the top travel destinations? The news publication listed Saint John as a must-visit.

Now, not to be confused with St. John’s, the capital of Newfoundland, the Saint John that CNN is talking about is located in New Brunswick.

Described as a "charming little city" — Saint John is a great base from which to enjoy sights including the Bay of Fundy, which is known for some of the world's highest tides.

CNN highlighted a few must-try spots in Saint John, New Brunswick, which include the Saint John City Market, the Irvine Nature Park, Kings Square and the Saint John Arts Centre, which is set in the city's historic Carnegie Building.
