Montreal has always been known for the incredible eats that you can find all over the city. The array of ethnic cuisines all around us let us take little culinary trips every time we go to a new Montreal restaurant. And the city just got a new player in the food game: restaurant Ayla.*

Located on avenue Richmond, this eatery is serving up Mediterranean-inspired dishes that will instantly make you feel hungry for more.

Trying new spots in Montreal has always been one of my favourite things to do, which is why Ayla's recent opening is so exciting to me.

Right now, Ayla is open for both pickup and delivery.

As stated on its website, in true Mediterranean fashion, the menu is "best when shared" and the numerous dishes will make me want to try them all.

Some of the must-try dishes according to the owner, David Dayan, are "the beet salad with lentil, the taboon roasted vegetables, and the lamb hummus."

The restaurant has also created a special "Ayla a la Maison menu" and will not be releasing its full menu just yet.

The owner says he decided to open Ayla during this unusual time because it simply "felt right."

He went on to explain that "we had practically everything done and we were ready to open and didn't want the hard work to change the focus of the business."

This new restaurant was inspired by his travels and family.

Dayan believes that what makes this establishment stand out is the experience they have when they will enter.

Plus, the "new flavours coming from the kitchen, the design, the cocktails and the service" — all of which will take part in the dining-in experience.

This new business is eager to fill your tummy with Mediterranean goodness.

Although dining in the restaurant is not an option at the moment, you can still enjoy the delicacies from the comfort of your home.
