It's the Christmas miracle that never was: Montreal's Miracle Pop-Up bar has officially been cancelled for 2020.

COVID-19 has led to many things being cancelled this year, but one of the deepest cuts, especially as we come into the holiday season we never thought would be.

On October 20, the bar had initially announced that it would return for the 2020 holiday season.

"No matter what, Miracle will go on this year, even if it's only 1 day we're allowed to be open, we will, and above all else we will open safely and follow all the government instructed guidelines," said Kevin Demers, owner of The ColdroomEl Pequeño Bar and Parliament Pub & Parlour, the team behind the pop-up.

The decision comes due to the government's protocols of the continuous closure of bars and restaurants in code red.

But don't give up your holiday spirit! The Coldroom, the team behind the pop-up experience, has started a holiday at-home kit for you to still make a toast to the most festive time of year.

The Duck Hunter Swag Pack comes with a toque, mug, pin, and more from the bar.

Currently the kit is only available for those who live in Montreal. You lucky ducks.
