Frank & Oak Apologized For Using A Pic Of Montreal's Dragon Flowers After Huge Backlash

Montreal-based retailer Frank & Oak has apologized to the Montreal community and to Dragon Flowers shop owner Tamey after intense backlash over a t-shirt design depicting the iconic Mile End storefront. 

In a widely-shared Instagram post, Tamey condemned the retailer's decision to print the t-shirts without express permission to use the store's image.

In an Instagram post Monday evening, Frank & Oak said the use of the image on the t-shirt without Tamey's approval "was a result of a miscommunication."

The retailer said it wanted to "extend [its] sincerest apologies" to the flower shop owner. 

"The community spoke up for you and we will make this right."

According to the letter, Frank & Oak has pulled the t-shirts from its website and stores.
