Montreal Comedian Sugar Sammy Threw Some SHADE At The Quebec Government In A Recent Tweet

The comedian self-describes as a "shit disturber and Karen whisperer."

Sugar Sammy, a Montreal comedian, took to Twitter to clap back at the Quebec government for their efforts to decrease the use of English in the workplace. 

The announcement, made on September 21, states that the Office québécois de la langue française (OQLF) will be opening new offices and hiring more staff to "allow the Montreal team to focus solely on the metropolis," according to a statement.

The comedian, writer and producer, whose real name is Samir Khullar, tweeted to his 286.5K followers, snarkily commenting on the decision.

Sharing a link to the story from TVA Nouvelles, he made it clear that he does not agree with the decision.

His tweet has currently reached over 900 likes.

Many seem to agree with his sentiment in the replies, while others took to the comment section to share their agreement with the government.

He also shared the tweet on his Instagram feed. At the time of publishing this article, it had 3,215 likes and 260 comments.

The comedian, himself, speaks English, French, Punjabi and Hindi.

Minister of the French language Simon Jolin-Barrette made this announcement after months of promises for changes and strengthening of the presence of the French language in the workplace.
